This week featured pastor training with nearly thirty pastors and a visit from our friend, Jim Bliffen. Jim, who pastored in the States for many years, and his wife, Joni, are missionaries with
Pioneer Bible Translators in the coastal city of Madang. We were privileged to have him travel up to the “cold” mountains of Goroka to teach the New Life pastors from his wealth of knowledge and experience.
A few pictures from the week:
| Jim taught morning devotions and a leadership class at night. |
| Pastor Wati studies his Bible during class. |
| Jeremy taught the pastors how to preach the gospel, no matter what text they’re preaching from. |
| Our pastor’s wife prepared food for the men all week. |
| Terrance helped out by cutting wood for cooking fires. |
| Toto and Helin are on holiday from school, so we saw them plenty this week. |
| Everett’s playing with a toy the kids around here call a “car.” It’s a long stick with wheels on the end. |
| Olivia and Everett discovered origami this week. Now we have many, many works of art all over the house 🙂 |
